Customer Service Representative Job Description The Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling queries regarding pre paid card products. The CSR may open, close and maintain card accounts. Requests may include receiving and processing new client accounts, customer retention, implementing requested changes to existing accounts and performing other account maintenance and clerical duties as requested.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones and respond to customer requests.
- Provide customers with product and service information.
- Transfer customer calls to appropriate staff.
- Identify, research, and resolve customer issues using the computer system.
- Follow-up on customer inquires not immediately resolved.
- Complete call logs and reports.
- Research billing issues.
- Research misapplied transactions.
- Recognize, document and alert the supervisor of trends in customer calls.
- Recommend process improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service software applications.
- Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type 30 wpm.
- Bilingual a plus
** The Hours for this par time position are between 12pm - 9pm including rotating weekends. **
